Born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota, I have always valued my hometown roots. Prior to college, I attended Rita Murphy Elementary, Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, and St. Mary's Central High School. I then went on to study and play volleyball at Bismarck State College, and later completed a semester at Minot State University, both at which I studied general and Spanish Education courses.
I then took a year away from college to work and evaluate my career path. During that year, I worked as a paraprofessional in an elementary, special education setting where I worked mainly with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders. After falling in love with this environment, I decided to pursue Elementary and Special Education coursework at the University of Mary, where I am currently completing my Senior semesters. I enjoy joking around with my big, fun family, being outside and around horses, and enjoying silence in nature. I've always related well to children, and am very excited to teach, but mostly learn from, a classroom full of them! |
